A Black List Recommended screenwriter living in Brooklyn, Suzanne creates richly-layered dramas whose fierce, witty protagonists risk everything to reinvent themselves and the world around them.  An advocate for her learning-disabled and now college-enrolled son, Suzanne has a passion for narratives that elevate and empower marginalized voices.

Her frequent themes reflect Suzanne’s own journey as a mature female writer: self-determination, alliances among women, and the healing power of empathy. Her provocative female characters always defy expectations as they fully explore the depth and power of their agency.

Suzanne’s a Stowe Story Labs/PAGE Awards Fellowship Winner, a HerArts Film Lab participant, a CineStory TV Fellowship Drama Finalist, twice a Nicholl Semifinalist, a Filmarket Hub TV Pilot Winner, and an Austin Film Festival Screenwriting Finalist.

A 2022 WIF Mentoring Program Writers Circle Mentee, Suzanne was mentored by showrunners JaNeika James and JaSheika James (Bel-Air, Gossip Girl), and Emmy-winning producer Jamila Jordan-Theus.

Suzanne received her MFA from NYU Graduate Film, with prizes in producing and directing.

Suzanne was the winner of the Independent Feature Project’s Herbert Beigel Screenplay Award, juried by Mary Harron (American Psycho) and Jay Cocks (Gangs of New York).

Please see Recent News for announcements regarding the numerous awards and recognition Suzanne’s screenplays and pilots have received.
